Worker remittances rises to $3.6bn in July
Pakistan received workers' remittances of $3.63bn in July 2026, up 4.5% from $3.47bn in June 2026, and up 13% on a yearly basis from $3.21bn in July 2025, according to the latest data released by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP). On a historic one month basis, total remittances came in at $3.63bn, up from $3.21bn in SPLY. Saudi Arabia retained the top position as the largest contributor to workers' remittances in July 2026, with inflows totalling $913.9mn, up 10.2% from $829.7mn in June 2026, and up 11% from $823.7mn in July 2025. The UAE remained in second place, with inflows of $737.3mn, down 6.9% month-on-month from $792.2mn in June 2026, but up 10.8% from $665.3mn in July 2025. Within the UAE, Dubai contributed $575.5mn, Abu Dhabi $135.4mn, Sharjah $14.2mn, and other emirates $12.2mn.
