Pakistan seeks greater U.S. investment in mineral, surgical sectors
Pakistan and the United States moved to deepen commercial ties as Ambassador Rizwan Saeed Sheikh engaged key business leaders across Chicagoland to promote bilateral trade, commercial partnerships, and greater U.S. investment in Pakistan, with particular focus on the high-potential mineral and surgical instrument sectors. The Ambassador was accompanied by the Consul General of Pakistan in Chicago during the high-level engagements, which began with a breakfast meeting hosted by the Pak American Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce (PACC), where Ambassador Sheikh urged attendees to strengthen business-to-business (B2B) linkages and explore expanding ventures in Pakistan. PACC President Naveed Anwar briefed the Ambassador on his recent visit to Pakistan as part of a U.S. business delegation, voicing confidence in the country's economic landscape, said a press release issued.
