Pakistan registers $3.6bn in remittances for July 2026
The inflow of overseas workers’ remittances into Pakistan stood at $3.631 billion in July 2026, the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) data showed on Monday. In terms of growth, remittances increased by 4.5% on a month-on-month basis and 13% on a year-on-year basis. Overseas workers’ remittances to Pakistan increased by 9% to $41.6 billion during Jul-June FY26, up from $38.3 billion in the previous fiscal year. “We expect remittances for FY27 to clock in at $40.1 billion,” said Topline Securities in a note. Remittances play a significant role in supporting the country’s external account, stimulating Pakistan’s economic activity, and supplementing the disposable incomes of remittance-dependent households.
