Buying momentum continues, KSE-100 up 1,300 points
Positive momentum continued at the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), with the benchmark KSE-100 Index gaining over 1,300 points during the opening minutes of trading on Thursday. At 9:40am, the benchmark index was hovering at 181,335.30, up by 1,320.37 points or 0.73%. Buying was observed in key sectors, including automobile assemblers, cement, chemical, commercial banks, fertiliser, oil and gas exploration companies, OMCs and power generation. Index-heavy stocks, including ARL, HUBCO, MARI, OGDC, PPL, POL, MCB, MEBL and NBP, traded in the green.
