GHTA Programme: Meezan Bank achieves Rs2bn in disbursements

Meezan Bank has achieved Rs 2 billion disbursements under the Government of Pakistan’s flagship affordable housing initiative, Wazir-e-Azam Apna Ghar Programme-Ghar Ho Tu Apna (GHTA). The Bank has also recorded its highest-ever monthly housing finance disbursements of PKR 1.3 billion, reflecting the strong and growing demand for its Shariah-compliant home financing solutions and reaffirming its leadership in Pakistan’s housing finance sector. With a view to promote affordable housing finance, the Government of Pakistan has introduced a Markup Subsidy and Risk Sharing Scheme namely ‘Mera Ghar -Mera Ashiana’.
