FBR integrates 11,141 big retailers into POS system up to Feb

The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has integrated 11,141 big retailers into the Point of Sales (POS) system up to February 2026 to document transactions of Tier-I retailers, especially hotels/restaurants. In December 2025, the total number of registered retailers stood at 10,858. This means that a total of 283 retailers were registered during the last two months. According to the list of retailers compiled by the FBR till Feb 2026, a total of 11,141 Tier-I retailers were registered with the POS system. A total of 971 restaurants were registered with the POS system, and 556 leather and textile retailers were registered with the FBR till February 2026. According to the latest data of the FBR, the number of textile and leather retailers now stands at 556.
